Will there be accessible parking available and where is it located?

  • Yes, there will be accessible parking. Attendees with an accessible parking permit visible in their car will be provided directions in the APP on where to part on the South Side of the Wing. The APP myQIAS will be available in April. There will be comfort carts to support attendees moving to the show arrival gates. We will not be supplying mobility aids, We will have comfort carts, inside the gates as well to assist with accessibility.

 

What is included in the VIP Experience ticket?  SOLD OUT.

  • The VIP Experience ticket available for sale includes VIP parking on the North Side of the Wing, steps from the private VIP entrance.  You may arrive at 0800hrs with early entrance. You will meet our VIP Concierge Service Team and will have full access to the static displays, STEM and vendor areas.  Your VIP tent will open at 1000hrs.  Your VIP Experience tent includes: a coffee break at 1030hrs to 1145hrs; catered lunch starting at 1215hrs with a host bar. The tent has a patio area with tables, chairs and umbrellas with a 20ft set back from the taxi way.

 

What does Early Bird give me access too?

  • For our Early Bird ticket holders, you have early access and preferred parking on the South Side of the Wing.  You will enter through the Central Gate arriving at the air show for entry at 0800hrs. Numbers at 0800hrs are limited, providing you the best opportunity for photos and walk on exhibits. Parking passes will be sent out with instructions to all Early Bird ticket holders in May. Everyone arriving at 0800hrs must have an Early Bird ticket to enter - regardless of age. 

 

Are tripods and zoom lens allowed in the Photo Pit area?

  • Yes, tripods and zoom lens will be allowed in the Photo Pit area.  However, please allow extra time on arrival for security.  Please be mindful and respectful of others in the Photo Pit area they are also trying to get that perfect shot.

 

May I bring a cooler?

  • Yes. Please, allow yourself extra time for security screening. You can not bring alcohol or bottles/beverages in unsealed bottles. If you are arriving by shuttle bus, follow the APP my QIAS for luggage friendly carriers.

 

May I bring lawn chairs and wagons?

Yes. Please, allow yourself extra time for security screening. If you are arriving by shuttle bus, follow the APP myQIAS for luggage friendly carriers.

 

May I bring alcohol?

  • No.

 

How do I become a QIAS sponsor?

  • We have a robust sponsorship program with opportunities to join us at the event as a VIP, invitations to the Wing Commander’s Blast-off Party, plus marketing and event marketing opportunities; in addition we have smaller packages with bundles of tickets to enjoy with your team! Will there be ATMs on site?

  • Yes.  BMO will be joining us on site and there will be ATMs.  Service charges may apply.

 

Will there be food available?

  • A variety of food vendors - 40+  will join us for the QIAS.  We will provide a full listing on our APP myQIAS.

 

Will you have a baby comfort station?

  • Yes, we will have a baby comfort station with change tables and a nursing station.  These will be located in our BMO Top Pilots Academy children’s area. We will also have quiet spaces - out of the sun for young famiies. 

 

Are children allowed in the Bleacher Area and do they need a ticket?

  • Yes. Everyone entering the Bleacher Area must have a ticket.  Children six and under, will be free at the gate, but to enter the Bleacher Area, they will need a ticket.  The Bleacher Area is set back 20ft from the taxi way and provides an outstanding user experience for viewing the show.  Tickets are limited to 5400 people per day.  

 

Are children allowed in the VIP Experience Area?

  • Yes, but ever person in the VIP Experience must have a ticket.  There is only one price for the VIP Experience tent.

 

If I purchase a ticket, but the weather forces the event to be cancelled will I be entitled a refund or may I use my ticket the next day?

  • The QIAS is a rain or shine event.  There are no refunds, and no - you will not be able to use your ticket the next day. During our early advance sales there is an option to buy a weekend pass for $20, allowing you entry both days.  If we have tickets available at the gate, they will not be offered at the $10 advance sale price point. In bad weather, correct, the show may not go as planned but, we will have assets in the air, and statics will be open. Vendors will be on site and ready to serve you.

 

How do I get a Media Pass?

  • There will be a Media Pass application available on our website in April 2024. Media Passes will be limited.  We will provide Media parking with the Media Pass. If you are a photographer, the Media Pass does not admit you to the Photo Pit.

 

How many tickets will I be able to purchase at one time?

  • We have reset our ticketing to allow for a bundle of 50 tickets at one time to allow busing groups to buy bundles.

 

For Busing Companies bringing in a busload of attendees, will there be parking?

  • Yes.  You do need to reach out prior to your arrival for a parking pass for buses. Reach us at info@quinteairshow.ca

 

I run my own business may I be considered for a Non-Food Vendor application?

  • You may apply to be a non-food vendor.  Those with a close military association (examples: Quilts of Valour, Wounded Warriors.) will be considered first.

 

I am with a not-for-profit organization, and I would like to be apart of the Quinte International Air Show?

  • Please send an email to info@quinteairshow.ca stating what your not-for-profit organization is and what organization has to offer the QIAS 2024. We are looking for organizations to help us by adopting a lot, assisting us in parking lots.  We also may have opportunities to display, exhibit or volunteer.

 

How do I volunteer for the air show?

  • We will be looking for volunteers to assist us at the gates, in our parking lots both at the Wing and in the community.  We will be looking for support in our merchandise tents and preparing our merchandise tents prior to the show.  Watch for our call for volunteers or email us at info@quinteairshow.ca

 

When will planes start arriving to the region?

  • We will begin to see planes arriving to the area as early as Monday, June 24.  The majority of air craft will be arriving on Wednesday, June 26. We will highlight arrivals we know of – on our Facebook and Instagram channels, and on our APP myQIAS.  Follow us at Quinte International Air Show.  Our APP myQIAS will be available in April.

 

Will there be a media day or a rehearsal with public viewing?

  • We will be hosting media flights on Thursday, June 27 and the morning of Friday, June 28. We will be doing a full rehearsal on Friday – it will not be open to the public; and should start around 1100hrs.

 

What is an APP and how will this help me enjoy the air show?

  • Our APP myQIAS is an app that will be available in the APP STORE in April, and downloaded on your phone, for free.  It will provide you be best user experience for the show, both prior to your arrival and at the air show.  We will provide updates on our APP; and website.  This will include show updates; schedules; history and great photos of the planes you will see; a map of our static display, along with plane descriptions and fast facts; our vendors list; a what’s happening at our BMO Top Pilots Academy (our children’s area); a schedule and exhibitor list  of our interactive STEM area; a full schedule of events; along with the daily air show program.  We will have a souvenir event program, but it is a paperless event.

 

May I ride my bicycle to the air show?

  • Yes.  We will have a bike rack area near the parade square on the South Side of the Wing and you will enter the Central gate. Please, bring a longer chain/rope style lock. 

 

Will you have souvenir merchandise at the event?

  • We are beyond excited to showcase our line-up of QIAS 2024 merchandise.  We will do ‘reveals’ showcasing our souvenir poster series; tee-shirts; posters; ball caps and mugs. Merchandise may be purchased online; and may be picked up at our show office, or at the show. We are also working on merchandise for sale at retail locations including the National Air Force Museum of Canada at the Wing.  Stay tuned!\

How do I buy bleachers - and, is it a good buy?

  • To purchase Bleacher Seating you may visit our website, and click on BUY TICKETS NOW and advance to the ShowPass ticketing website.  You first need to select one day, or weekend pass; next, you select your day - the Bleacher Seating is an ADD ON, select it - here, and it to your cart.  Bleachers are an excellent buy - on a set back from the main taxi way, with most planes staging right in front of you!

Do I pay for parking or shuttles - and, where do I park?

  • No parking is free at the show.  We will have some parking on or near the Wing, but there will be a full parking and shuttle plan released in April.  You may park at sites like Centennial Park in Trenton, or Loyalist College in Belleville, and take a free shuttle to the air show.

What are comfort carts and trolleys - are these new to the show?

  • To assist you in our parking areas - in lots designated on the APP and at the front gate area; we will have comfort carts to assist attendees with mobility issues.  Inside the air show gates we will also have comfort carts and trolleys to help you from one end of the runway to the other.  Our QIAS map will showcase the trolley's route. Watch for it - we will release it in April.
